Golf Packages – Spring 2010

Guidelines from Group Leader:

Arrowhead Golf Course

  • “More interested in good golf than nightlife and clubbing”
  • “Would drive a little to ensure good course quality and economy”
  • ” Wanted a mix of “WOW” and ” almost WOW” courses”
  • “Had a budget of $675.00US per man”
  • ” J.T. – this has got to be good or I will hear about all hockey season”

SO

We worked together to pick out out some course line-ups, put them in the schedule in the most cost effective places ( mid-week, etc, where there were savings to be had) and came up with:

  • 7 nights / 6 rounds in a very comfortable 2BR/2bath (4 beds) golf course villa.

and playing:

Option 1

  • Crow Creek ( great starter course with immaculate greens- always)
  • Arrowhead – Ray Floyd’s very good course with great waterway views on several holes
  • Wild Wing – Avocet – the last ( and best) of the former 4 course complex- a very good Larry Nelson design
  • Prestwick ( a Pete Dye and PB Dye collarboration- bring your A-game here for sure)
  • Pearl East or West – this 36 hole complex has really had a turnaround- beautiful when I played it last
  • Rivers Edge ( arguably Arnold Palmer’s best MB course- see www.river18.com to see why)

Total Cost of this package: $677.00US ( based on quad occupancy in the villa)

Moorland - Legends Golf Course

Option 2   ( as of Feb 17th tee-times becoming scarce for this package but there are cancellations every day so we can still try!)

  • Legends – Heathland***
  • Heritage Club***
  • Pearl East or West ( a little bit of a ride – 30 minutes in the morning, but great replay potential on the other side)
  • Legends Moorland***
  • Oyster Bay***
  • Legends – Parkland ***

Why the ***??? Because here you get a breakfast each morning in the clubhouse, a lunch AND 2 beers after the round each day!

Total Cost of this package: $659.00US ( based on quad occupancy in the villa)

Option 3 ( a little more economical- still great golf)

  • Indigo Creek – good starter course that is always in good shape and has real interesting holes
  • Meadowlands – I like to start folks off on #10 here because the first 4 holes are the hardest on the course
  • Farmstead – # 18 is a huge Par 6 – take an 8 and it’s only a “double’
  • River Hills – this is a hidden gem that people are waking up to now. www.riverhillsgolf.com
  • Woodland Valley – this course is out on HWY 9 and is a real test of accuracy!
  • Wicked Stick – BIG John Daly spends time in Myrtle Beach and he helped lay out this course

Total Cost of this package: $567.00US ( based on quad occupancy in the villa)

Based on the great golf value of the Legends package ( and the free food and beer) my Group Leader opted for Option 2

Working together, I think we satisfied all the criteria for his boys and I am sure this group will have a great time on this trip!

That’s how we do it — but these are just examples- we can do anything!!

I’d love to help you plan out your Myrtle Beach trip!!

Fire us off a quote request – give me some ideas of what you are shooting for -and lets see what we can come up with together!!
