Golf Packages – Fall 2011

Prices for Fall 2011 are all in now. There are some very good deals again this year and her eare  some great suggestions. The ultimate choice is  choice is always yours, but here are some very good examples of what we can put together:

  • 7 nights / 6 rounds in a very comfortable 2BR/2bath (4 beds) golf course villa.

Example # 1

The Myrtle Beach National Company had really been in growth mode lately and have added some great courses to their stable.  Folks who have played their courses before can almost have a completely new schedule with their 4+1 package.  Add in our favourite course of them all – Rivers Edge and you have a killer line-up at a great price.

  • Tradition Club – you will be very impressed with this modern Ron Garl design
  • Wild Wing – Avocet – the last ( and best) of the former 4 course complex- a very good Larry Nelson design
  • TPC of Myrtle Beach- the new Crown Jewel of the MB National Group
  • Pawleys Plantation – a great Jack Nicklaus design with wonderful salt marsh vistas ( and just added to the MBN group)
  • Rivers Edge ( arguably Arnold Palmer’s best MB course- see www.river18.com to see why)
  • Willbrook- a lot of money was spent on an extensive renovation a couple of years ago. It now gives a beautiful Southern Plantation feel

Total Cost of this package: $610.00US ( based on quad occupancy in the villa)

Moorland - Legends Golf Course

Example # 2

The Legends Group have raised their prices a little ( they sold out this Spring and so have used the Spring price for the Fall-BUT – it’s still a great package!! Add one more round to make 6 rounds

Why the ***??? Because here you get a breakfast each morning in the clubhouse, a lunch AND 2 beers after the round each day!

” We still want to come to Myrtle this year but some of the fellows are on pretty tight budgets”

OK- but you’re travelling a good long way so we still want good, solid golf – at a price that everyone can afford!

  • Indigo Creek – good starter course that is always in good shape and has real interesting holes
  • Meadowlands – I like to start folks off on #10 here because the first 4 holes are the hardest on the course
  • Farmstead – # 18 is a huge Par 6 – take an 8 and it’s only a “double’
  • River Hills – this is a hidden gem that people are waking up to now. www.riverhillsgolf.com
  • Woodland Valley – this course is out on HWY 9 and is a real test of accuracy!
  • Wicked Stick – BIG John Daly spends time in Myrtle Beach and he helped lay out this course
